Turk journalist presented the history of Armenian last family in Sasun

YEREVAN, JULY 9, ARMENPRESS: Turk journalist Jevat Sinet published an article entitled “ The last Armenian family”, on Armenian family living on the slopes of Mereto mount, Bathman ( in Armenian Sasun ).

As Armenpress reports, Sinet told the village was situated in an inaccessible place, where it was almost impossible to climb neither by a car nor on foot. Nearly all the village roads of Sasun are rocky and are blocked six –month long.

“It was even impossible to walk, though it was an honor for us. In Armenian the name of the village called Vank, got the name from Vank church” Turk journalist dwelled on .He writes that before the Genocide Sasun possessed a large number of monasteries and churches, which later were robbed and destroyed.

The author writes they were gratified they managed to get an Armenian family, as “ it was almost impossible to meet Armenian family in those places”.

Speaking about Sasun Armenian cemeteries, he tells they were all taken to the ground by treasure and gold adventurers.He describes Armenian family hosted them with great love and told their story. The father of the family, Jemil born in 1937, was forced to change his name.

“ Jemil and his wife Feride have survived so much pain, it is impossible to depict in words . The grandpa and grandma of the wife had fled at the days of Genocide and were lots, Jemil’s father was taken prisoner in a Turkish family, where he had done all kinds of works, to remain alive” Turk journalist came forth with. The heroes father eventually succeed to run away and marry Feride’ s mather.
