The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes spokesperson for the Armenian State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition stated that the tendency of increase of price for flour is agreed with about 25% of growth of prices for grain in the world market. The paper says according to the observations of the commission showed that the prices for flour have grown in Armenia averagely by 9%. The paper says the increase of prices for bread in Gyumri is also connected with it.

The paper says the bread market is not within the circles of SCPEC but the commission voiced hope that on the account of acquired and gathered grain and flour the growth of prices for bread may be avoided. The paper says it is difficult to agree with the commission. The daily says if the prices for flour increase, the price for bread will also go up, it is just a matter of time.

The daily Yerkir writes that businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan will be nominated in Meghri with the majority election system inArmenia’s upcoming parliamentary elections.

The daily says press secretary of Silva Hambardzumyan told the daily that a press conference will be held this week, during which Silva Hambardzumyan will announce which party she is going to become a member of. The paper says to the observation that the businesswoman will likely become member of the Republican Party of Armenia, the spokesperson said, it is just conclusions of press.

The paper says in response to the question as which party she prefers for becoming its member, the spokesperson noted that he cannot say anything at this time, “because the situation is changing each moment, and it could still change.”

The daily Hraparak writes that former MP Jonik Abrahamyan, the brother of Hovik Abrahamyan, former Parliament Speaker and current chief of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) headquarters paid a visit to President Serzh Sargsyan on Monday.

The paper says it is known that Jonik Abrahamyan wants to be nominated at N 17 electoral constituency in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The paper says President Sargsyan does not want to bring his brother, Alexander Sargsyan, to the Parliament, and he would like this principle spread onto Hovik Abrahamyan as well, who will become MP with RPA list. The paper says perhaps this was the nature of the conversation that took place with Serzh Sargsyan.
