The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes former head of the President’s staff Karen Karapetyan will be nominated in the majority system in 32 electoral constituency (Lori province). The paper says he will not be included in the faction of the Republican Party of Armenia but will be nominated as independent MP. The paper says Karapetyan who is also the member of the RPA executive body after his resignation did not visit the office of the RPA, though the paper says he is regularly being invited to all the sittings of the party. The newspaper writes that soon changes will be made in the staff of the executive body of the RPA and more probably Karen Karapetyan will not agree to become member of the body again.

The daily Zhoghovurd writes representative of the ARF, MP and former deputy defense minister Arthur Aghabekyan decided not to become MP any more. The paper says Aghabekyan told about it personally to the daily, explaining that “while speaking with people I have always noted that our society sees only personal interest in the words of the others. Now I will speak with people without mandate and its expectation. That is to say I must explain people the necessity of voting for the ARF. People must signify the ARF and the latter’s presence in the NA must not be less than 20%.” The paper says in response to the question whether his statement is connected with the circumstance that he is not involved in the list of the party, Aghabekyan said “there is no such issue”.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak says its sources claim that the Republican Party of Armenia and Prosperous Armenia Party have come to an agreement over Armavir N21 electoral constituency: it has been decided that neither RPA member Nahapet Gevorgyan nor PAP Rustam Gasparyan will be nominated. The paper says it has earlier written that Serzh Sargsyan demanded from Gagik Tsarukyan not to nominate Rustam Gasparyan at N 21 constituency.

The acting MP from this constituency Gasparyan a week ago told the daily’s correspondent that he will not be nominated only in case Nahapet Gevorgyan will not be nominated too. The paper says the latter told the daily he has nothing to say and turned off the phone.
