The semi-weekly 168 Zham writes the Republican Party besides the issues on proportional list discusses the issue of replacements in the executive body of the party. The RPA approves the staff of the executive body at the congress held once in two years. The paper says it will do the same at the March 10 congress. The paper says of course before the congress the new staff of the body will already be ready and Serzh Sargsyan will present it for approval
The semi-weekly says certain members of the EB body will drop off and will be replaced by new members. The paper says MP Harutyun Pambukyan will not be member of the body any more. The paper says rector of the Medical University Derenik Dumanyan will be withdrawn too. The paper says more probably they will be replaced by NA chairman Samvel Nikoyan and Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan. The paper claims RPA member NA chairmen and Yerevan mayors have always been members of the executive body. Former head of the president’s staff Karen Karapetyan will also be withdrawn from the staff. The issue of Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan and former mayor Gagik Beglaryan is under question. They too may leave the body, to be replaced by vice chairman of the NA Eduard Sharmazanov and Education Minister Armen Ashotyan.
The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes MP of the Heritage party’s faction Anahit Bakhshyan is going to be nominated in majority system at Shengavit constituency N 12. The paper writes she stated about it to her colleagues. The paper says the acting MP of the electoral constituency is PAP member Versandik Hakobyan. The paper reminds after coalition negotiations the constituency remained to the PAP. The paper says it is not clear yet whether the PAP will nominate there Hakobyan or other candidate, however the latter seems not be so inclined to be nominated.
The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that inspection in the Armenian province of Kotayk and in Abovian municipality in particular has started since November 14. The paper says the target of the Control Chamber is the municipality where the inspection continues till now. The paper says its correspondent asked spokesman for Gagik Tsarukyan how the latter treats the fact that the CC is not ending the checking for so long time. “I think you have addressed the question to a wrong addressee, you should apply to the Control Chamber,” Khachik Galstyan said. The spokesman said the inspection results are being summed up and in near future they will be publicized. The paper says Ishkhan Zakaryan more probably will convene a news conference in the coming week to sum up the results.
The daily Yerkir writes it has learn that the coalition parties – the Prosperous Armenia and the Rule of Law – have agreed not to nominate candidates at the N 2 constituency and together with the RPA back the candidacy of the former spokesperson of the President Samvel Farmanyan, who is currently director of Public TV’s political and news programs. The paper says it appears that the electoral competition in Nor Nork will occur between Farmanyan and representatives of the Armenian National Congress, former military prosecutor Gagik Jaangiryan.
