The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that news are circulating that after the adoption of “notorious” bill on “Legal Regime of Emergency Situation” the police troops may not exist any more or change their status. The paper says the issue is that after adoption of the mentioned law the Armenian Armed Forces may be engaged in the inner political processes, particularly participate in the defense of special institutions. The paper says it means that the meaning of the police troops vanishes. The paper says in parallel to it the growing tempos of emigration makes the issue of developing the armed forces more complicated from day to day. The paper says the police troops are also being filled with soldiers and its elimination will make about few hundred soldiers go to army and not police troops.

The daily Zhoghovurd claims that at one of the meetings with the high ranking officials President Serzh Sargsyan stated that he had hardly managed to stabilize the situation and in near future he is not going to make any changes in the system of authorities. The sources of the paper say Serzh Sargsyan said the decision refers both to legislative and executive powers. He said that in best case reshufflings will be made and not changes as in that case the danger to the stability of the authorities will increase. The paper says the remarkable thing is that till recently Serzh Sargsyan was speaking about necessity of bringing new fresh figures to power. In response to the question of the paper why Serzh Sargsyan has regretted to do it, RPA spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov said: “Serzh Sargsyan usually publicizes his statements.”

The daily Zhoghovurd writes the Armenian Control Chamber is conducting these days inspection at the Armenian Transport and Communication Ministry. The paper says quite scandalous revelations may take place as representative of the "Orinats Yerkir" party, Minister Manuk Vardanyan together with his partner Eduard Madatyan committed quite "dark affairs". The paper says it tried to find out from Manuk Vardanyan whether the CC is implementing inspection in the ministry. The minister confirmed the information saying he is not afraid of revelations as he is sure everything is all right.
