Armenian ambassador to Iran sees wide perspectives of development of economic relations between the two countries

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 20, ARMENPRESS: Armenian-Iranian economic relations have serious opportunity for development, Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Arakelyan stated about it in Iran, IRNA news agency reports.

"Iran and Armenia have serious opportunities for economic development," the ambassador said, pointing out that Armenia is interested in developing relations with Iran. The diplomat said in respect of trade circulation Iran is Armenia's forth partner. During the past year the trade turnover between the two countries increased by 40% making 320 million USD. "If Iran becomes member of the World Trade Organization, the cooperation between the two countries may expand in different spheres," Grigor Arakelyan said.
