The daily Zhoghovurd writes in near future people known to public will continue appearing in the proportional list of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP). Among them the paper says is former MP of the oppositional “Justice” alliance, non-party Tatul Manaseryan. The paper says he was offered to be included in the list and, according to the daily, has not declined the offer. Speaking to the daily, Manaseryan though described the news as street talks and advised not to believe them. “There was no such suggestion and I continue being non-party,” he said.
The paper says chairman of the Union of Political Analysts Hmayak Hovhannissyan will also be in the proportional list of the PAP.
The daily Hrpaparak writes according to circulating news chairman of the United Labor Party Gurgen Arsenyan will be included in the proportional list of the Prosperous Armenia Party. The paper says it is being even spoken that he will be the fifth or the sixth in the list. The paper says Gurgen Arsenyan has recently returned from the United States. The paper says the congress of the party will be conducted February 29 during which the decision will be made. “The public will learn about all the decisions we will make. No secret decisions will be made,” he told the daily.
The daily Zhoghovurd writes it seems the duel between the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will shift from the criminal to the media sphere.
The paper says according to its well-informed sources the Republican Party and the Presidential Office have become very angry at the team members of Gagik Tsarukyan, and that a plan is now being designed on how to resolve the issue of PAP, which is “playing opposition inside the power.’ The paper says it has learnt that this time the ‘punishment’ will not be the detection of drug addicts, or lawbreaking drivers but another tactic is being designed. The paper reminds rgar recently the Hraparak daily published news how a PAP member had proudly stated: ‘Don’t you see how our websites are criticizing the authorities? Everyday they are methodically publishing analyses. This is journalism and ‘being opposition inside the power.’ The paper says let’s wait for the next RPA-PAP round.
The daily Zhoghovurd also writes that businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan has decided to nominate her candidacy in one of the 41 electoral constituencies. “Yes, I will nominate my candidacy and during these days I will make a statement saying where exactly I will be nominated. I will enter a party as well and which one, I will state at a news conference. I will nominate my candidacy in the majority system,” Hambardzumyan told the daily. The paper says it has learnt that the businesswoman will become member of the Republican Party.
