In 1970-1980 Turkey committed pogrom of Kurds: Kurdish official

ANKARA, FEBRUARY 15, ARMENPRESS: Kurdish political figure Ebrahim Gujlu has announced that the 1970-1980 state activities against the Kurds are not "unrevealed crimes" but a pogrom of Kurds, Armenpress reports.

As Gujlu said in an interview with TRT correspondent, the human bones and skulls found during the excavations conducted in Diarbekir and Kurdish-populated settlements of Turkey prove that during those years people did not miss, but the state, without trial and judgment, killed and lost their tracks. "What happened then are not cases of missing, but a true pogrom," said the official.

To mention, the Turkey-based Kurds started the liberation activities during those very years, and the Turkish state, like today, tried to settle the Kurdish issue through pogrom of Kurds.
