The daily Zhoghovurd writes its sources close to the Prosperous Armenia Party say the former foreign minister of Armenia Vartan Oskanian will be included in the party’s proportional list. The paper says he will be the fifth. According to the sources, Vartan Oskanyan is going to even leave “Civilitas” foundation created by him. Though, the paper says, the foundation faces serious financial issues, it will hardly close. The paper says Oskanyan will just leave the foundation de jure. The sources of the daily did not exclude that Oskanyan will state about his intention today.
The daily Hraparak writes the ANC’s rally scheduled for February 17 have been postponed till March 1. The paper says it has been explained with “strict weather conditions and traffic safety.” The paper says Sasun Mikayelyan’s defeat in Hrazdan elections should have been an alarm and the Congress, for returning the initiative, should have started a new movement and develop it by May elections. However, the opposition has decided to choose a peaceful way, let’s see where this fight will lead them, the paper wrote.
Under the title Hrazdan has activated PAP the daily Zhamanak writes that member of the Prosperous Armenia Party Naira Zohrabyan said the PAP will very actively participate in the coming parliamentary elections. The paper says the MP said it in response to the question whether after Hrazdan election’s outcome the party is not going to discuss the expediency of its participation in the elections.
The daily Zhoghovurd writes about the inspection of the Armenian Control Chamber ongoing in the Abovian municipality. The paper says according to its information, no serious violations have been discovered till now as Abovian’s mayor Karo Guloyan, Gagik Tsarukyan’s son-in-law, has been actively financed by the latter and did not need to spend community means. The paper says in any case information about results of inspection will be published in near future.
