The daily Zhoghovurd writes the ruling coalition has prepared a new text of a memorandum. Citing its well-informed sources, the daily Zhoghovurd says currently the expediency of signing it is being discussed. The daily reminds that the coalition forces agreed over it still at the coalition sitting January 30. The paper says the remarkable thing is that a year has barely passed from the signing of the latest memorandum. The paper says specifically this week RPA-PAP relations received new “qualities” and soon big coalition sitting is expected at presidential residence.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes if the European observers positively assess the parliamentary elections in Armenia, the newly-formed government will receive big donations from the EU. The paper says such message was conveyed to the authorities by the EU ambassadors to Armenia. The paper says they noted that in case of conduction of legal elections by September Armenia will get 100 million euros one-time allowance and by the end of the year conference of EU countries will be held in Armenia as a result of which Armenia will get 1.5 billion euros grant.

The daily Zhoghovurd says according to its well-aware sources director of the VTB bank Valery Ovsyannikov has been relived of his duties as the Russian leadership is not satisfied with his work. The paper says an official from the bank confirmed the information but made clarification that the director was not relieved but left the office on his own for passing to another job. “Yuri Gusev has been appointed acting director of the bank from February 1. He was the financial director of the bank from 2009,” the official told the daily. The paper says though it has not managed to get details but its sources claim that Ovsyannikov has been dismissed for not financing a number of important Russian programs in Armenia.
