The daily Zhoghovurd writes according to its well-aware sources the pre-electoral headquarter of the Prosperous Armenia Party will be headed by the urban development minister Vardan Vardanyan. The paper says Mr Vardanyan’s participation in the sitting of the ruling coalition at the presidential residence was not an accident. The paper says spokesman for the PAP Baghdasar Mheryan confirmed the information of the paper but said the decision of appointing Vardanyan as the head of the headquarter is not final. “Yes, there is an initial consent that Vardanyan will head the headquarter,” the paper cited him as saying.
The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that talks about signing of new coalition memorandum has intensified in the ruling circles. The paper says mainly members of the RPA and Rule of Law party are speaking about it. The paper says the PAP circles though insisit that they will not sign any memorandum.
The daily Hraparak writes the sittings of the ANC political council and RPA executive body will take place February 1. The paper says in both cases the issue of participation of the parties in the coming parliamentary elections will be discussed, specifically the proportional lists of the parties. The paper says these discussions in the parties are quite hot and pass in a complicated atmosphere.
