Newspaper says Gurgen Arsenyan, leader of ULP, to be number 5 in PAP's proportional list

The daily Zhoghovurd writes it has learnt that the Republican Party of Armenia has decided to involve in its proportional list 8 non-party, more rightly to say, leading political figures. The paper says though NA vice chairman, RPA member Eduard Sharmazanov said: “I do not possess such information, such issue has not been discussed. I will just say one thing that the RPA has such experience. It may include in its list political, non-party figures who support RPA’s policy. Today we have members in the RPA faction who are non-party.”

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that according to some information President Serzh Sargsyan and leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan were going to meet. The paper says the latter’s spokesperson said he was not aware of such meeting. The paper writes that for quite long time information is being circulated in press according to which Tsarukyan-Sargsyan meetings is expected.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that leader of the United Labor Party, former MP Gurgen Arsenyan did not deny the information that he will be the number 5 in the proportional list of the Prosperous Armenia Party. “Wait for the publication of the PAP list and you will see,” Arsenyan said. The paper says when the correspondent of the daily insisted that it is spoken about his personality, Arsenyan said: “Wait the congress of the ULP scheduled for February 27-March 2 and we will state about our decisions. Time will come and you will get answers to your questions.” The paper says Arsenyan also said that he will definitely be nominated by majority system in one of the 13 Yerevan precincts but did not mention in which one.
