Newspaper says PAP leader to hire British organization for conducting public opinion poll in Armenia

The daily Hraparak writes according to the information it possesses the first party to disclose its “cards” will be the Rule of Law party which has decided to publish its list and certain details of its participation in the elections in the coming week. The paper says next week on Thursday the sitting of the political board of the Rule of Law party will take place during which the issues will be discussed. The paper says according to the initial information, during that time Arthur Baghdasaryan will state that his party will participate both in proportional and majority system of elections and will publish the names of the participants in majority system. The paper says according to its source some will be disappointed.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that the Prosperous Armenia Party that states about its wish to conduct free, frank and transparent elections has provided the places belonging to it in electoral commissions of Hrazdan precinct to the officials of the municipality who are mainly members of the RPA. The paper says it was stated by Hakob Avagumyan, the newly appointed head of election headquarter of Hrazdan mayor candidate Sassun Mikayelyan. The paper says the same happens in case of Rule of Law and ARF parties but he said he cannot say anything concrete yet.

The paper says spokesman for the PAP Baghdasar Mheryan shrugged off the information, saying that PAP has appointed members and heads of commissions in all the precincts.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak also says that according to well-informed sources leader of Marxist party Davit Hakobyan will be nominated MP from the 41 precinct of Tavush province. The paper says more probably he will be backed by the Prosperous Armenia Party. The paper says member of Rule of Law party, former deputy governor of Tavush Vahe Vardapetyan will be nominated in this precinct as well.

The daily Zhoghovurd writes citing well-informed sources that leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan is going to hire one of British sociological organizations for conducting public opinion poll in Armenia. The paper says he is going to pay about 500 thousand USD. The daily continues that the British organization has a quite high reputation and is known for accuracy. The paper says spokesman of the leader of the party Khachik Galstyan denied the information, saying they are not going to hire any polls. “We will see,” says the daily.
