The daily Azg has referred to U.S. Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry's statement on withdrawing Turkey from NATO, which has raised a wave of anger in Turkey. According to Turkish English-language websites, Turkish Foreign Affairs Ministry was the first to respond to Perry's words, condemning his assessment still in January 17.

But the U.S. Republican presidential candidate did not express any readiness to make a step backward in an interview with CNN, Azg writes. Moreover, in answer to the question whether he was mistaken in his way of expression, Rick Perry responded: "No, not at all, the country that allowed murder of 140-160 women in 2011 "for honor", is not the country with which the USA would like to be associated.

The daily Hayastani Hanrapetutyun has referred to the January 18 consultation held by National Assembly Speaker Samvel Nikoyan with heads of NA delegations. NKR NA Speaker Ashot Gulyan, head of Armenian President's staff Vigen Sargsyan, NA Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov and Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan participated in the consultation. NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan noted that the parliamentary diplomacy is the inseparable ingredient and significant part of our state's foreign policy, and the goal of the consultation is to discuss the work of NA delegations in international institutions, the current issues and programs, as well as to exchange information, to familiarize themselves with proposals and viewpoints.
