Mother-in-law torturing her daughters-in-law detained

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS:

The investigation over Haykanush Mikayelyan's case, mother-in-law that tortured her daughters-in-law, is underway. She has been sent back to Yerevan from Moscow December 12 and handed to the police officers. Press service of the Armenian police reported that the brutal mother-in-law was detained.

Haykanush Mikayelyan has caused serious body injuries to first and second daughters-in-law. She burnt different parts of body of Mariam Gevorgyan, the second daughter-in-law, burnt her tongue with lighter, stabbed her body with fork, broke the nose of Gevorgyan, humiliated her.

Husband, Davit Ziroyan, also participated in the acts of violence. He has arrived in Armenia with St. Petersburg-Yerevan flight and went to the Artashat department of the police. He was not arrested and criminal prosecution against him has been suspended.
