The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that for a long time news were circulating in press that the Oversight Chamber is conducting inspection in the Abovian municipality and yesterday the information was confirmed. The paper says the mayor of Abovian is Karo Guloyan, son-in-law of Gagik Tsarukyan.
In Abovian and Kotayk province in general the inspections of the Oversight Chamber were tied with the hottest moment of RPA-PAP relations. The paper says during this period chairman of the Chamber Ishkhan Zakaryan was officially rejecting the information about the inspection in the Abovian municipality. The paper says yesterday the press service of the Chamber officially informed that from November 14 till December 15 inspections would be held in the municipalities of Abovian, Hrazdan and Yeghvard. “The inspection in Abovian is underway,” official from the Chamber told the paper.
The daily Zhoghovurd writes that former chief of the police Alik Sargsyan, who is currently advisor to President Sargsyan, described the news about his appointment as Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council after resignation of Arthur Baghdasaryan as senseless. The paper says Alik Sargsyan several times repeated that he will not become Secretary of the National Security Council. “You ask and I answer it is excluded,” he said. The paper concludes that in the pre-electoral period nothing is excluded in Armenia.
