YEREVAN, DECEMBER 9, ARMENPRESS:
Presidents of Armenia and Lebanon referred during the talks to a number of regional and international issues. Armenpress reports that at a joint news conference with Lebanese president, Serzh Sargsyan said that Azerbaijan is stubbornly trying to present the issue in the Islamic countries in the light of religious disputes. "I think in case of knowing a little bit the history of the Armenian people and reasons of the conflict it will be impossible to believe in this nonsense," Serzh Sargsyan said.
He noted that Armenia considers such approach very dangerous "as there are regions not aware of the details and the anti-Armenian propaganda there has not passed without consequences". The Armenian President rated high the unbiased and objective approach of the friendly states "as each unbalanced step shatters the fragile balance and stability in the region."
President of Lebanon Michel Suleiman, in turn, noted that his country rates high the stability, peace and development in Armenia. He stressed that Lebanon would like to see the settlement of all the issues Armenia is facing and especially the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
