The daily Aravot writes that the regular sitting of the Armenian National Congress headquarter took place yesterday. The paper writes that the main issue of discussion was the viewpoint of cooperation of the ANC with the Prosperous Armenia Party voiced by the leader of the ANC Levon Ter-Petrosyan at the November 25 rally. The paper says at the sitting they also discussed issues on coordination of provincial visits and activity of provincial offices.
According to Aravot, in the context of already “implemented fact” members of the ANC headquarter once again tried to analyze the situation, clarify their approaches. The paper says some of the representatives of the ANC headquarter and central office who previously spoke against any cooperation with the PAP after the statement of the first president “being against” it spoke now in favor of it.
The daily Zhoghovurd writes that today the Oversight Chamber is going to conduct an outgoing sitting in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik. The paper says it has learnt that rather serious violations have been revealed in the province and today with the presence of the governor these violations and embezzlements will be revealed. The paper’s sources say that these revelations are quite remarkable: there are no legal proofs of the direct participation of governor Poghosyan in the revealed noisy facts. The paper says it is not coincidence, more probably, the former policeman who is now the governor has taken care that everything be done through the hands of others so that he goes out of the situation clean.
The daily also writes that in near future the staff of the National Security Council will undergo changes. The paper says after being elected in the office of the NA chairman Samvel Nikoyan will automatically become member of the NSC: instead Hovik Abrahamyan is not there any more. The paper says though Serzh Sargsyan has not signed any decree about it, Abrahamyan’s name was withdrawn from the official website of the NSC. The paper says another remarkable thing is that Alik Sargsyan has remained in the list and is presented as chief of the police, and this is in case when Vova Gasparyan for already a month is appointed chief of the police but Serzh Sargsyan has not signed a decree on including him in the list of members of the NSC.
