New Armenian chess revelation – Samvel Ter-Sahakyan

Samvel Ter-Sahakyan considers his victory in the World Chess Championship as logical. In an exclusive interview to Armenpress news agency at Zvartnots airport the grand master who became the world champion under 18 years old said: "This is my best result for the recent years. I have managed to register 7 victories and end 2 games in draw," Samvel reminded. According to him, the competition was very tensed, and he was very happy that after winning in the eighth round he ensured the titled of champion in practice.

Samvel Ter-Sahakyan was close to becoming a champion at the previous World Championship too but at that time he took an unnecessary risk and failed to win gold, taking the silver. This bitter experience helped him this time, and the young grand master, performing stable game managed to win.
