The daily Hayots Ashkhar writes that spokesman for the Republican Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov commenting on the statement of the foreign minister of Turkey Ahmed Davutoglu stated: “I would like to remind to the political figure striving to the policy of “zero problems” with neighbors that there is no need of creating additional issues for Turkey.” The paper reminds that foreign minister of Turkey stated at a joint news conference with his French counterpart that Turkey is ready to form a commission for studying what happened in 1915. According to the paper, the parliamentarian said Armenia will never put the issue of Genocide for discussion as it is a fact adopted by progressive society. The paper says Sharmazanov added that it is not a historic but a political issue and it must get a political solution – that is Turkey should recognize the fact of Armenian Genocide.

The daily Hraparak writes that former mayor Karen Karapetyan’s program of renovation of Vernisage has been left incomplete. The paper says after his resignation the developer company which till then was renovating the place, placing benches, covers, told the open-air traders that the rest of the work should be done by them. The paper says it raised discontent among the traders who insist that in that case they must not pay fees for trading there.

The semi-weekly 168 Zham writes that that Chief of the Police Vladimir Gasparyan has implemented the request of businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan and provided her a bodyguard. The paper says Hambardzumyan had asked for bodyguard after she was physically assaulted by governor of Syunik Province Suren Khachatryan in Marriott Hotel last week. The paper says Hambardzumyan was interrogated on November 14 over that incident. Governor of Syunik Province Suren Khachatryan has also been interrogated November 18.
