The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that with the state budget of the coming year it is envisaged that the average cost of 1 USD makes 367,5 AMD. The paper says as of yesterday the cost of 1 USD made 385 AMD which means that today the exchange rates differs from the expected one by 5%. The daily says it difficult to say how much the exchange rate will divert from the forecast. The paper says but if the AMD devaluates more it will appear that a wrong figure was fixed in the basis of the budget.

The daily Hraparak writes that the newly elected mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan said the staff changes he is going to make are not an end in itself. “As to the staff changes in the City Hall we have a professional team, it has just remained to encourage the team to come forth with the spirit and hard working to bring our programs to an end.” The paper says according to the information it possesses the heads of core departments will be changed.

The daily Hraparak also writes that member of the National Unity party Ara Simonyan once again voiced the proposal of the leader of his party Artashes Geghamyan on “forming joint front”. The paper says it means engagement of the heads of extra parliamentary forces in the proportional list of the Republican Party of Armenia. The paper says the republican majority of the parliament considers the formation of such “front” as violation of its interests as this unity must take place on the account of reduction of RPA’s mandates.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that the case of the former head of the road police Margar Ohanyan is already in the final round and will soon be sent to court, the lawyer of Ohanyan Mkrtich Vasakyan said. The paper writes Margar Ohanyan is accused in abuse of power and embezzlement, he is detained for already 3 months, from August 30. The paper says Vasakyan found it difficult to say whether are accused are involved in the case. The paper says in case of being found guilty Ohanyan may be sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment. Lawyer Vasakyan said Ohanyan has not pleaded guilty and has not given testimonies.

The daily Hraparak writes that according to the RPA sources sitting of the executive body of the RPA will take place November 17 to discuss the issue on failure of the RPA candidate at the elections of mayor of Ijevan. The paper says more probably the responsibility will be put on the governor of the province Armen Ghularyan and the issue of his resignation be discussed. The paper also reminds that the efficiency of work of governors and other officials in Armenia is being decided with the skills of organization of elections.
