The daily Hayots Ashkhar writes that the row of resignations of the high ranking officials continues: yesterday it became clear that Chairman of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan is going to resign. The paper says at the RPA's executive body's sitting President Serzh Sargsyan offered Hovik Abrahamyan to head the headquarter of the pre-electoral campaign, spokesman of the party Eduard Sharmazanov told the reporters. The paper says according to him, Abrahamyan accepted the proposal and said on his initiative he would submit resignation application to be able to focus on the pre-electoral processes only.
The daily also writes that former special representative of the EU to the South Caucasus Peter Semneby stated that the conflict over Nagorno Karabakh continues deepening. "The inner logic and development of this conflict is full of serious dangers. There is a real threat of sharpening of the conflict and the parties have started serious race of weaponry which destabilizes situation more," the paper cited the European diplomat as saying. The paper says according to him, the agreement signed between the parties about the ceasefire is "unreliable and self-regulating document the implementation of which is being followed by a few observers from the OSCE."
