The daily Azg writes that the issue of gathering 101 billion AMD more taxes in 2012 has become a reason for different discussions. The Chairman of the State Revenue Committee did not hide his dissatisfaction from this prospect at the cabinet sitting and asked the deputy finance minister Pavel Safaryan, who was presenting the draft budget, explain on the account of what resources it must be done. The paper says certain experts too consider it hardly possible irrespective of the fact that the volume of shadow economy in our country is still quite big. In their opinion the tax officials will choose the experienced way: they will fine small enterprises trying to ensure additional tax entries.
The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that Kentron and Nork Marash court satisfied the petition of the Special Investigation Service and extended the detention term of the chief of the Armenian police Margar Ohanyan for two months. The paper reminds that Ohanyan is accused of embezzlement and abuse of power.
The daily Aravot writes that Iran stated that it is ready to export gas to Europe through Turkmenistan as that route is more beneficial. As to the NABUCCO project, manager of the Iranian gas supply company Hossein Bidarmaghz said it is a “dead project” and “after signing an agreement in 2009 no step was undertaken for building it.” The paper says Hungarian National Development Minister Tamas Felegi also put under doubt the expediency of NABUCCO. The paper says according to reuters, he stated that the cost of construction of the project may reach 26 billion euros, four times expensive than expected. The paper says the launch of construction of the gas pipeline is scheduled for 2013.
