The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that it has learnt that the leadership of Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant met with the 158 employees who filed resignation applications. The paper says at the end of the meeting chief architect of the Plant Movses Vardanyan started threatening the people. The daily says executive director of the Plant Gagik Markosyan also partook in the meeting. The paper says he tried to persuade the employees to change their approach and continue working with the same salary. The paper says when it was clear that the employees would not agree the chief architect started threatening that their relatives will also be dismissed. The paper says the employees decided that they will not step back from their demands, it is supposed that they will hand over their cards and stop being employees of the Plant.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that spokesman for the Georgian president Manana Manjgaladze reported that President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan is going to visit Georgia November 1 but yesterday the Armenian mass media disseminated information that spokesman for the MFA Tigran Balayan stated that President Sargsyan has not planned foreign visits for the first half of November. The paper says it is remarkable that the news appeared after President Saakashvili publicly criticized the Armenian authorities noting that they needed two weeks for the elimination of consequences of the landslide while the Georgian side could have done it in two hours. The paper claims that after this statement President Sargsyan annulled his visit to Georgia. The daily writes Tigran Balayan refused to comment whether the annulment of the visit is connected with the statement of Saakashvili.
