The daily Azg writes that President Serzh Sargsyan is going to pay a state visit to the Russian Federation, the preparatory works of the visit have been discussed by the foreign ministers of the two countries Edward Nalbandian and Sergei Lavrov. The paper says MFA reports that the meeting took place yesterday in Moscow, no other details of the meeting are reported as well as no timeframe of the visit of Serzh Sargsyan is mentioned.

The paper says in any case the frequent Armenian-Russian state and working visits particularly testify about the high-level of contacts while the Azerbaijanis are trying to present Russian-Armenian relations as “reason of regional instability”.

The paper writes special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich expressed disagreement toward such assessment: “Russia is interested in maintenance of peace and stability in the region. Stemming from this approach, according to priority, it builds its relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan. The same strive is the basis of efforts addressed to the settlement of the Karabakh conflict”.

The Russian-language Golos Armenii paper writes about the huge wall that Azerbaijan builds on the border which will “protect the people of Azerbaijani villages from the bullets of Armenian snipers”. The paper says it is being spoken about the wall the length of which will reach three kilometers and height is 3 meters. The 700 meter sector of the wall has already been built.

The paper says the Armenian side via various experts, political figures responded to this absurd idea of Azerbaijan voiced few years ago and received practical appearance today. The paper says commenting on this information they all agreed that the project, per se, is substantiation of Azerbaijani propagandistic groaning about the threat from Armenian military units. As to the applied meaning of the plan, apparently, the wall will serve as a reliable cover for Azerbaijani snipers, the paper continues. In other words, it is spoken not about shield but sword.

Meanwhile, continues the paper, as paradoxical as it may seem, the created situation that forces the Armenian side to go wall to wall, is a direct result of the activity of the OSCE Minsk Group, more exactly, its inactivity. First of all because they openly dodge from the implementation of the function they have laid on them on their own: thorough investigation of the incidents that occur on the line of contact. As it is known, continues the paper, before each phase of Armenian-Azerbaijani talks on the level of presidents, the Azerbaijani units are becoming more active, violate the cease-fire regime, make subversive sorties, fire at Armenian posts. It is also known that after a while from each incident the co-chair accuse both parties in the violation of cease-fire regime and threaten to make thorough investigations of the incidents to find the guilty. But, alas, till now the co-chairs have never pointed on the concrete violator of the cease-fire regime and have never conducted thorough investigations.
