The daily Azg writes that the amusing situation reached its pick: seeing that Moscow is not exerting pressure on Armenia, Paris “loves Armenia and humiliates Azerbaijan” and the USA does not have much time and resources to get concerned about the regional conflicts, the “first figure” of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has made an unprecedented step: he is fencing the Karabakhi-Azerbaijani border. The paper says, according to Azerbaijani half-official 1news.az, the construction of the wall started in the territory of Akn (Aghdam) region: “The height of the wall is more than 3 meters. Its construction will ensure the security of innocent people, will allow them return to their homes. It is a big issue as from 78 houses 24 are empty, ” Gabilia Abbasov representative of the Azerbaijani local self-governmental body stated.

The paper says for Baku striving to enter Europe “without walls” “the Azerbaijani Wall” on the NKR border besides being curious is also very symbolizing: first with its own hand Baku clearly divides its borders “its territory from its territory”, secondly Azerbaijani subversive groups will hardly manage to pass the wall without impediments for entering the territory of Nagorno Karabakh, besides if our shots do not reach them, neither their shots will reach us. But on the other hand says the daily gates may be created for subversive groups. Nevertheless, says the paper, irrespective of everything, the most important in this wall building is that Azerbaijani president gets to know slowly that Nagorno Karabakh is “on the other side of the wall”.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that October 21 is the deadline for the leadership of Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant to solve the issue of 158 employees that have filed resignation applications. The paper says 158 people might not come to work from October 22. The paper says the employees of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant presented resignation applications on September 20 demanding raise in their salaries. According to the RA Labor Code, the work contract is considered dissolved a month after the presentation of resignation application. The paper says it has learnt that State Regulatory Committee for Nuclear Safety warned the leadership of the plant that if the issue of the staff is not solved the re-operation of the plant may be banned basing on the lack of necessary specialists. The paper says speaking with its reporter, director general of the plant Gagik Markosyan said he does not have any news connected with the issue but rejected the information that the plant will not be re-operated. The planned re-operation is scheduled on October 27.
