The semi-weekly 168 Zham writes that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are going to pay their regular visit this month, according to the Azerbaijani APA news agency that cited the Russian co-chair of the Minsk group Igor Popov. The paper says according to the latter they have planned to visit the region by the end of the year. According to the paper, the exact time of the visit is not clear yet and they are working in that direction. Earlier it was noted that the co-chairs would visit the region in midst of September but the visit did not take place and they met with the parties in New York and Warsaw.

The semi-weekly also writes that leader of the Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan in an interview to a news agency referring to the social-economic situation created in the country stated that the 20-25% of our problems are on surface. “It is just necessary to develop the economy not by simple “book” scheme but taking into consideration the real life experience. Today people are living badly why we artificially worsen their conditions”, the paper cited him as saying.

The paper says referring to talks about the return of Robert Kocharyan to active politics Tsarukyan said: “He has the moral and political right to do it”.

The daily Hayots Ashkhar writes that hot debates took place between the Armenian and Azerbaijani delegates at the fall sitting of the PACE that launched Oct 2. Head of the Armenian delegation Davit Harutyunyan came forth with a speech and presented the position of the Armenian delegation over the activity of the PACE sub-committee on Nagorno Karabakh affair. The paper says he expressed the concern of the Armenian delegates that the arguments of the Armenian delegation are stubbornly not being taken into consideration. The paper says yesterday on behalf of his colleagues Harutyunyan again proposed to declare moratorium of mutual accusations as during the previous sitting our delegation, in spite of the negative attitude of Azerbaijan, declared one-sided moratorium. The paper says no response has been received from the Azeri party yet.
