The daily Hayastani Hanrapetutyun has referred to September 28 visit of President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan to the Russian-Armenian (Slavonian) University in Yerevan and partook in the enlarged meeting of the university's academic council dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the NKR's proclamation. Rector of the university Armen Darbinyan handed in the Order of Honor and certificate of Honorable Doctor of the university to President Sahakyan. Bako Sahakyan expressed gratitude for such an appreciation.
In his speech the President touched upon domestic and foreign policy of our country, inter-Armenian cooperation, present stage and prospects of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict settlement. The Head of the State noted also the necessity of deepening and widening ties between the higher educational institutions of Artsakh and the Russian-Armenian (Slavonian) University.
Under the title "Response of RA Permanent Representative to UN to speech of Azerbaijani FM" the Hayastani Hanrapetutyun writes that as soon as the main discussions of the UN General Assembly wrapped up September 27 in New York, discussions were held between the Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations after the speech of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
Armenia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Karen Nazaryan in his speech particularly noted that the references on Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh in Mammadyarov's speech are the result of his imagination, who still thinks that the propaganda of the period of cold war and the anti-Armenian statements at the UN may appear a productive tool for strengthening of his country's positions in the negotiations running with mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group.
