The daily Aravot writes that in an interview to "A1+" head of the "Helsinki Civil Assembly Vanadzor's Office" Arthur Sakunts referring to the murders in the Armenian army during the peace time noted that the reason for it is obvious: "The corruption in the army reached a degree when the militaries are dealing not with their affairs but business", the paper cited him as saying. According to Sakunts, the other reason is that the corruption in the army is being sponsored and the situation cannot be changed. "If in this condition the Supreme Commander is not doing anything, he is also guilty in the murders", Sakunts told the daily.
The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that according to the official statistics the 42 percent out of the 421 million USD of foreign investments were made only in the mine sphere of Armenia's economy. The paper says the foreign investments in all other spheres have considerably reduced. The paper says it does not fit in the logic of statements of the government about diversification of the economy. The paper continues that if few months ago the brilliant figures in our economy were ensured by diamond processing and construction, now the mine industry assumed this role. The paper claims this branch of industry like construction and diamond processing does not promote the qualitative progress in the economy but only ensures great incomes to several persons acting in the sphere.
