Under the title Protocols out of the agenda the daily Aravot writes that expert of the Armenian Center for Political and International Research Ruben Mehrabyan, commenting on withdrawal of Armenian-Turkish protocols from the agenda, said, “Their being or not being in the agenda did not play any special role in political processes. I have repeatedly said that by Armenian-Turkish protocols Turkey received what it wanted, that is – a process. And Armenia, wishing a result, did not get it”. Ruben Mehrabyan thinks that after confirmation of the new agenda, Turkey will in all appearances return the protocols to the agenda. “Their complete withdrawal will not give anything to Turkey, as by keeping it in the agenda and not bringing up for discussion it gains a tool for external use. This or that way the protocols did not mean anything in the big agenda.
