“Hakob Gyurjian” First International Sculpture Symposium in Shushi

YEREVAN, JULY 15, ARMENPRESS:

The "Hakob Gyurjian" First International Sculpture Symposium will kick off July 15 at "Narekatsi" Art Union of Shushi and will close July 29.

The symposium will be conducted under the auspices of the RA Culture Ministry, Municipality of Yerevan, in assistance with the Artsakh Republic Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs, Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Municipality of Shushi and with the direct participation of "Narekatsi" Union.

Gayane Durgaryan, the RA Culture Ministry's press and PR officer, reported Armenpress that this is the first such gathering in Artsakh. "The focus of the gathering is not only the schedule full of lectures, master classes, exhibitions and film screenings, but also the creation of sculptures: each of the participants will create his or her sculpture on any theme from the limestone of Shushi. The sculptures will be donated to the town," she said.
