Yerevan Circus to give “farewell performances”

YEREVAN, JULY 12, ARMENPRESS:

Yerevan circus will give its last two performances on July 17 and 24. The art director of Yerevan circus, winner of international awards, PhD in art sciences Sos Petrosyan told Armenpress that the last performance and the official closing of the circus will take place on July 24. The last performance will be given for charity purposes for the children's houses and vulnerable family children.

After the charity performance, from August 1 the circus will be under reconstruction that will last for two years. The reconstruction will allow to make Yerevan circus an up to date theater where mass attraction performances by Armenian and world famous troupes can be held. The Yerevan circus is not going to keep two years of silence. The art director mentioned that now they are working on the opportunities of keeping their performances going. One of the possibilities is the creation of mobile circus, the other one is to rent a temporary territory for the circus.
