The daily Azg writes that President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev despite the post-Kazan disappointment has decided to exert stronger efforts to reach signing of document on basic principles or any other document relating to them. The paper says it may be testified by the activity of the foreign minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov who paid short-term visits to the region and handed to the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan Medvedev's proposals over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement.
The daily Hayots Ashkar writes that the co-chairs of the Minsk Group are in a rush and it has passed to the conflicting parties as well. The paper says the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan have been living during these days with an "airplane life", the former returned from Moscow the latter from Paris to meet the Russian foreign minister who arrived with a message from Russian president.
The paper continues that the current situation in the South Caucasus is such when Russia will have to make a non-standard step to prove that it is the main player in the South Caucasian region. Russia will make clear for all that it will not allow other players to solve issues in this region, while it will solve those issues in a way to ensure its presence in the South Caucasus, the paper continued.
Referring to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's proposals to Armenia's and Azerbaijan's presidents over the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, the paper claims that the geopolitical context of Medvedev's proposals will be the same and it will be able to ensure only the preservation of peace, but not the resolution of the conflict.
The semi-weekly 168 Zham writes it has learnt that President Serzh Sargsyan is already trying to form the preliminary variant of the proportional list of the Republican party. The paper says he first of all wants to solve the issue on who will top the list. The paper says the members of the party do not exclude that the list may be topped by the president himself like it was stated on the eve by the chairman of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan. The paper claims even after it the issue who will be the second is problematic. As far as for a long time talks are circulating that Tigran Sargsyan and Hovik Abrahamyan are competing, the sources of the paper do not exclude that the first ones in the list may be not ambitious members of the party, the old members of the ARP. The semi-weekly continues that like in past now too especially after the "Forbes" rating talks are being circulating about the resignation of the prime minister.
