The daily Haykakan Zhamanak claims it has learnt that preparatory works have already launched for conduction of September 21 military parade in Yerevan dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia. The paper says for the first time it was stated about intention of conduction of military parade January 28 by the Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan. The paper says though after it an event took place that made organizational changes in the preparatory works – particularly the military parade in Baku June 26 that made the authorities conduct such an event which if does not exceed must not be worse the Baku's parade. The paper says the intrigue is whether our gathering will exceed the Baku's or not.
The daily Aravot writes that for the first time in 20 years representative of NKR – Foreign Minister Georgy Petrosyan – became member of the ARF Bureau. The paper writes in response to its question whether it means that he must leave his office representative of ARF Artsakh's central committee Davit Ishkhanyan said the issue has not been discussed yet. "In the coming days we hope this issue will get final solution, though I do not think it needs to be so seriously discussed as we have such precedent. Three years ago three ministers in Armenia – Levon Mkrtchyan, Aghvan Vardanyan and Davit Lokyan – were elected members of the ARF Bureau".
The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that July 1 late at night the house of another former official was attacked and this time the victim was former head of the Yerevan Malatia-Sebastia administrative region Aghvan Grigoryan. The paper says criminal case has been evoked and as far as examination of such cases does not give any results such crimes will be registered in future as well.
