The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the World Bank published on the eve "Life in the transition period" report formed on the basis of studies in 33 Eastern European and post-soviet countries, including Armenia. The paper says among the most serious issues in Armenia the report mentions corruption. The polls showed that 20% of Armenians has given bribe in any state institution. The paper says according to the polls decline has been registered in almost all the social groups except people with high income. The paper says only 22% of the population is satisfied with his/her life and only 1/3 of people is optimistic about the future of their children in Armenia.

The daily Aravot writes that yesterday from early in the morning the work of Yerevan-Gyumri mini-buses was paralyzed. The paper says it is interesting that the transport going to the capital is not working on only the days of rallies, nevertheless no one in the bus stop was aware of the rally – one of the passengers was hurrying to hospital, one was going with children back home. The paper says the people were shocked to hear that the reason why they could not get to the capital was the rally of Levon Ter-Petrosyan.

The daily Capital writes that yesterday the core issue of the outgoing cabinet sitting was the concept on equal development of Armenian territories. The paper says the draft concept offers making changes in respect of assessment of indexes which will make the efficiency of the implemented investments more visible. The paper says the equal development of territories is a serious issue for the economy of every country and Armenia as well. The paper says in Armenia it started deepening since 2000 in parallel to the development of economic growth. The paper says the poverty rate in Yerevan makes 19.7% which is the lowest index in the republic.

The paper says the highest level is in Shirak province 30.6% and in Kotayk 29.5%. Comparably low level is in Syunik and Aragatsotn 20.3%.

The paper also writes that the difference in the salaries of people of the urban and rural areas makes approximately 20%.

By the way, Capital says it is taking summer vacation and will be back July 26.
