The daily Hayots Ashkhar writes that Diaspora Armenian businessman Vahagn Hovnanyan stated yesterday that monopolism impede the development of business in Armenia. "We decided to enter into the wheat business but were warned that our yet not grown fields will be burnt down", the daily cited the businessman as saying. The paper says in the same way the businessman was impeded to import wood to Armenia from Russia. The paper says according to Hovnanyan the monopolism is so strong here that even Russian suppliers did not want to do business with him. The paper says though Hovnanyan did not want to say concretely from whom he is getting the threats.

The semi-weekly 168 Zham writes that former US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk group, current US ambassador to Baku Matthew Bryza stated in an interview that the statement of the presidents of the Minsk group countries Barack Obama, Nikolas Sarkozy and Dmitry Medvedev shows that they tied big hopes with the meeting of the presidents in Kazan. "But the parties failed to register a breakthrough in Kazan and accomplish the works over the basic principles. But I understand that the process of negotiations continues and the parties will again meet and try to discuss the issues at the table of negotiations", the paper cited him as saying.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that PACE co-rapporteurs on the Armenian issue John Prescott and Axel Fischer are going to arrive in Armenia July 20. The paper says the decision was made at the yesterday's sitting of the Monitoring Committee. The paper says at the fall sitting of the PACE the co-rapporteurs will present a report about implementation of commitments by Armenia on the basis of which a resolution will be adopted.

The same daily claims citing its diplomatic sources that President Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian are planning to appoint Armenian ambassador to PACE Zohrab Mnatsakanyan instead of the current deputy foreign minister Karine Ghazinyan who is going to be appointed Armenia's ambassador to Great Britain. The paper reminds that still a year ago Serzh Sargsyan recalled Armenian ambassador Vahe Gabrielyan and for already a year Armenia does not have ambassador in Great Britain. The paper says the issue is that Serzh Sargsyan and Edward Nalbandian do not manage to find a person to replace Zohrab Mnatsakanyan as in this office they need a close and intelligent person whom they do not have. The paper says that is why the appointment of Karine Ghazinyan is being postponed.
