The semi-weekly 168 Zham writes expert on Caucasian issues Mamuka Areshidze stated that the possibility of war between Armenia and Azerbaijan has increased and it may harm Georgia and the whole region. "I think the possibility of resuming war is 50/50. Nevertheless, I think the threats directed by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry to Armenia include PR elements. It is a fact that the situation is in a deadlock. Because of ambitions and passivity of international organizations, there is no even imitation that some steps are being carried out toward the settlement of the conflict", the paper cited him as saying. Areshidze said in case war resumes it will not be between Armenia and Azerbaijan. "It will be war in the whole region and will have an impact on the geopolitical situation. Concretely Georgia will be thrown back by 25-30 years, which is beneficial only for our enemies", Areshidze said.

The daily Haykakan Zhamanak writes that only during the last three days two cases of suicides and one attempt of suicide have been registered in the republic. The paper says the official statistics on suicides for the first quarter of the year will be published in June.

The daily Capital writes that the "Armenian-Russian mine industry organization" is passing from uranium to the geological research of other useful minerals. The paper says according to different assessments there are about 25-100 thousand tons of uranium in Armenia but the first geological works did not give positive results. The paper says deputy energy and natural resources minister Areg Galstyan stated that the "Armenian-Russian mine industry organization" views the opportunity of not only finding uranium but other useful minerals as well.
