Socially insecure families to pay 100 AMD per 1 cubic meter of gas

YEREVAN, MARCH 31, ARMENPRESS: About 60 thousand families will pay 100 AMD per 1 cubic meter of gas instead of current 132 between April 1st, 2011 and March 31st, 2012.

The government took a corresponding decision at its outgoing sitting in Oshakan today. The sitting is dedicated to issues of socio-economic development in Aragatsotn marz.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said the government will compensate this 30% to “ArmRusGasprom”.

He said it is the assignment of the President with the implementation of which the burden of the socially insecure families will be facilitated.

The Prime Minister expressed concern that the gas consumption of the insecure families included in the list exceeded 10 thousand cubic meters which is rather strange. “Such cases must be studied,” Tigran Sargsyan said.

The Labor and Social Affairs Ministry was assigned to provide to “ArmRusGasprom” the lists of insecure families.
