Agricultural Equipment for Farms

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 17, ARMENPRESS: The agricultural equipment, provided to Armenia, through 170 million yen by the Japanese government will be sold by auction to cooperative farms and agricultural industry subjects, acting with joint action agreement.

The agricultural equipment, secured to Armenia through the grant, involves 61 tractors, 7 plows, 3 combines and 3 trailers. RA Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan said today at the governmental session that the cooperative farms, which are situated in mountainous areas or near the RA borders, will have an advantage.

According to RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, many discussions on promotion of cooperative farms have been held. ‘The state provides support to successful cooperatives through agriculture equipment. We will continue this tradition in the future in order our farms realize that the state will support them in case they are united,’ Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said.
