YEREVAN, AUGUST 18, ARMENPRESS: Union of Armenian Architects today has 700 members. The chairman of the union Mkrtich Minasyan told Armenpress that the 35 of the members are from the Los Angeles branch and the 40 from the Moscow branch.
He said only three years after graduating university it is possible to become member of the union. The process is the following: an application is being presented on the basis of which the administration is selecting. In very seldom cases an applicant is being rejected. The union annually has 20-25 new members.
“Previously the union had bigger authorities. Besides having an opportunity to have free rest in resort houses, the issue of the creative hostels of the members was also being solved,” Minasyan noted.
