YEREVAN, APRIL 12, ARMENPRESS: On April 10 within the frameworks of a three-day visit paid to the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with NKR President Bako Sahakyan.

A wide circle of issues concerning the cooperation of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh Republic was discussed at the meeting. The interlocutors expressed gratification for the mutual cooperation of the governments of Artsakh and Armenia considering it one of the important prerequisites of successful implementation of the planned works.

T. Sargsyan, referring to the talk with B. Sahakyan in a briefing with NKR journalists, noted that cooperation issues are diverse and multi-content. “The first issue is the long-term strategy of the energy system - the structure of the NKR energy system, its involvement degree into the energy systems of Armenia, because from one viewpoint we consider a joint energy sphere with its regulation regimes, joint tariff policy, and from the other viewpoint, the NKR faces issues on secure development of the energy sphere. “And it is clear, that within such a policy we should try to present such optimal solutions that both the issues find solution”, the Armenian Prime Minister said.

He attached importance to the issue of air transportation, underscoring that if Stepanakert airport starts operating, it will qualitatively change both the economic and social ingredients of the relations of Armenia and NKR. “We should think what kind of tariff policy must be implemented, in order the passenger transportation takes place both by roads and by air means. Here it is of importance to understand all the consequences of a long-term strategy,” the head of the Armenian executive body stated.

The sphere of agriculture has been a subject of mutual discussion, too. According to T. Sargsyan, in the recent years it is developing in the NKR with great impetus. And the latest events, particularly, the price rise of sheep, has given a new impetus to development of this sphere. According to the Armenian Prime Minister, right investments must be made for development of this sphere, the best experience of developed countries of the world must be applied.

During the meeting NKR President submitted to T. Sargsyan an analytical work concerning the resettlement policy of Artsakh in the last 10 years.

Armenian Prime Minister attached importance to that issue and noted that a right approach must be displayed for promoting the solution of resettlement issues.
