YEREVAN, APRIL 10, ARMENPRESS: According to total team calculation, by gathering large and small gold and silver medals, 6 from each, as well as one small bronze medal at the tournament of the European Weightlifting Championship in Minsk, Armenian National Weightlifting Team occupies the second place.
Armenian athlete Gevorg Poghosyan has won the title of European champion in 77 kg weight category by lifting a total of 369 kg. Another Armenian athlete – Ara Khachatryan, has won a silver medal. In this sub-tournament N. Novikov has taken victory with a result of 171 kg, Turk Ismet Inchet occupies the second place, and A. Khachatryan is in the third place with 165 kg result.
G. Poghosyan has lifted 165 kg, too and is in the fourth place. G. Pohosyan has won a small gold medal in snatch combination and has become a European champion by lifting a total of 369 kg.
In this sub-tournament A. Khachatryan occupies the second place by lifting 203 kg.
