SUPERJET 100 AIRPLANE TO BE TESTED IN HIGH MOUNTAINOUS CONDITIONS IN ARMENIA

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS:Sukhoi Superjet 100 airplane arrived in the Gyumri airport to pass a number of tests of flight-landing characteristics and assessment of the abilities of uprising in the high mountainous conditions. The message of the “Civil airplanes of Sukhoi” company says that the tests are aimed at showing the abilities of the plane to make secure flights and landings with an opportunity to make the second circle in complicated conditions. During the tests the main systems of the plane and the characteristics of flight and additional powers are assessed. Russian Superjet 100 passenger plane is the joint project of “Sukhoi civil airplanes” and “Boeing”. It is intended for transportation of 98 passengers and can fly 4400 km. First company to get Superjet 100 is “Armavia” airlines; supply of first serial planes must start at end 2009.
