ARMENIAN NA SPEAKER SAYS SERIOUS PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN FORWARDED DURING 100 DAYS OF PRESIDENCY OF SERZH SARGSIAN

YEREVAN, JULY 18, ARMENPRESS:“During the 100 days of presidency of Serzh Sargsian serious programs have been forwarded, and everything which has been possible to do during this period has been done. The tension has been smoothened but we still have a serious and successive work to do which will give us an opportunity to say that we are on the way of new quality and new opportunities. I am sure that the forwarded programs will have a success,” the National Assembly Speaker Tigran Torosian said today at a press conference. According to him, in each country the office of the leader is very important it involves all the spheres of the life of the country and the 100 days are not the period during which one must expect drastic changes. “The 100 days of the president of our country started with tragic events which is a serious issue and must be taken into consideration during the assessment of 100 days. Serious tension was created in the country and during the passed period it was succeeded to decrease its level but it is obvious for all that we still have a work to do to eliminate the tension. It is also obvious that these events had a certain influence on the pace of these 100 days,” Torosian said. He expressed assurance that the National Assembly and the government had natural pace of work during this period and naturally this also must be viewed within the 100 days of work of the Armenian president. Serious questions were forwarded, serious programs have been initiated and serious work is expected for the implementation of the programs. “We are in a very interesting period of time, on one hand opportunities for ensuring new qualitative developments have been created and on the other hand there are very serious challenges in different directions and the period of time which must have shown us the way to go forward was very short,” the parliament speaker said.
