NOVOROSSIYSK AND GAVAR TO BECOME SISTER TOWNS

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS:Armenian deputy foreign minister Shavarsh Kocharian received today a delegation from the Russian town of Novorossiysk, Krasnodar province. Foreign Ministry press service told Armenpress that the goal of the visit is to achieve agreement on making Novorossiysk and Gavar sister towns. Greeting the guests Shavarsh Kocharian positively assessed the visit of the delegation to Armenia, underscoring the necessity of conduction of such meetings in respect of development and expansion of Armenian-Russian relations. Referring to the social-economic life of Novorossiysk, members of the delegation pointed out the role of big Armenian community in the development process of the economic and social life of Krasnodar province. During the meeting the sides also discussed a number of issues on cultural exchanges.
