US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Brendan Hanrahan, Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Vahan Kostanyan and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov have announced the launch of trilateral technical planning groups to advance the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) multimodal transit route.
According to Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, this format brings together policymakers and technical experts from the three countries to work collaboratively and help ensure long-term regional stability, economic viability, regional connectivity and commercial prosperity. It also reaffirms the significance of the landmark declaration of the Peace Summit held on 8 August 2025, mediated by US President Donald Trump.
“With a shared commitment to turning the vision into tangible progress, the parties agreed to launch the first two trilateral technical planning groups, focusing on transport and electricity transmission. Establishing these technical planning groups is an important step towards resolving complex technical issues and moving to the next stages of implementation, including ensuring connections with other regional infrastructure,” the ministry’s statement reads.
The ministry said the parties reaffirmed their respective commitments to ensuring that all components of TRIPP become operational as soon as possible.
