Armenian Parliament Speaker meets with senior Chinese legislator

Armenia’s Speaker of Parliament Ruben Rubinyan held a meeting on September 22 with Lou Qinjian, a Chinese legislator and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress of China.

Qinjian is also the Head of the China-Armenia Friendship Group at the Chinese legislature.

According to the readout, the meeting discussed issues related to the development and expansion of bilateral ties between Armenia and China. The high level of relations between the two countries was noted with satisfaction. Opportunities for interparliamentary cooperation were also discussed.

The sides also discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the importance of fully utilizing the existing potential in education, culture and trade and deepening cooperation in new areas.
