US has weapons systems to control space – Troy Meink

The United States is developing and deploying military capabilities, including counter-space systems, to ensure superiority and control in space, US Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink said in remarks at the Air, Space & Cyber Conference 2026.

On September 14, Meink delivered a keynote address entitled “Developing Warfighting Power in Air and Space”. The conference’s main theme is strengthening US air and space superiority.

He declined to provide details, noting that a significant portion of activities in this area is classified.
