Armenia’s Defense Minister Suren Papikyan said he will visit one of the country’s army corps on September 10, responding to questions and suggestions raised in comments by servicemen’s relatives and citizens.
“I will be at one of the army corps today, at military units, army positions and fortified areas,” Papikyan said on social media.
He said there has been significant interest in his recent visits and that he has decided to make their work more public where possible.
The minister also said that Thursday’s visit was prompted by comments containing questions and suggestions from parents and relatives of servicemen, as well as citizens.
“Taking this into account, we chose the direction today, and since our work has not previously been covered, and also taking into consideration your interest and thanking you for following us, we have decided to make our activities more public from now on. Of course, there will be closed parts, which are mainly due to the confidentiality of our work, but wherever it is possible to show our work, we will show it,” Papikyan said.
