A two-day forum involving representatives of the Armenian and Turkish business communities will be held in Yerevan from September 3 to 4. It is being organised by the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia within the framework of the EU-funded programme “Support to the Normalisation of Armenia-Türkiye Relations: Strengthening Cross-Border Links”, according to a press release issued by the Union.
The aim of the forum is to bring together representatives of the business communities and state institutions of Armenia and Türkiye on one platform to discuss opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries, identify new areas and formats for cooperation, and promote the establishment of new business ties and partnerships.
The event will include discussions and meetings on the potential for bilateral economic cooperation, the development of business ties and opportunities for cross-border cooperation.
In particular, the results of a study on the opportunities and existing obstacles related to Armenia-Türkiye transport links will be presented. A panel discussion will also be held on the next steps in Armenian-Turkish economic cooperation, while bilateral business-to-business (B2B) meetings between representatives of the two countries are expected to include contacts between representatives of the IT and tourism sectors.
Armenia Expo 2026 will also be held on September 4 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex, where the Armenian-Turkish business forum will continue.
